7:59 pm - helloooo
so i tried writing about the past month for my livejournal. buttt now i'm looking at my calendar and all i can think is "i do nottt want to type up a big long thing about that"
so i'm not going to. i'm not going to finish my livejournal about september, and i'm not going to type one up about october. i might try writing about the past week. that sounds better. ebcause then i'll be able to actualy remember stuff. when i'm writing about the pas month i can't remember all the emotion and stuff so it's dull and life less. so yep. :)

Ok so school started. I like school; it's exciting. I always look forward to it. The first day was really fun for me. I got through the first week of school alright, and then that Friday I went to the Rocket Summer concert with Lauren, Jessica, and Kelsey. The show was super amazing. I was pretty close, and I got to mosh which was sweet. Jessica crowd surfed. But yeah it was wonderful seeing my favorite band in concert. :) The next day A Red Letter Day had their first real "gig." It was at the Vault in Buffalo, and they were there with OFF. The sounded super amazing. Even more amazing than when I'd last heard them a week ago. There was a guy there that wanted to make a music video for them, too. Later in September they got up a new song on their MySpace which sounds great so I think that will get them some attention.
There's this really nice thing about living close to the school: people can come home with you after school. :) The girls walk home with me after school a lot, and I love it. It's really the only time when the girls get together without a big group. They generally come over to watch the sophmore football games. On football game days some guys walk home with me, too, to hang out before the varsity games.
The Bagliens are into the dirtbike scene right? So a bunch of people went to watch Claire race. It was really fun, but really cold. I talked to Claire's friend Melissa, and she was really funny and nice and stuff. So I liked CB, and I thought that he liked me, too. So all night I'm talking to him and making physical contact and what not, but he's not doing anything. I got really irritated, but now I don't really care. Whatever.
I've been spending A LOT of money on Maple Grove stuff and things to make Maple Grove stuff. I went through about 6 cans of crimson and gold spray paint in September. I'm literally broke because of all this stuff. But I love doing it; it's a lot of fun. Plus, I love Maple Grove. :) Tommy came over one night to spray paint a pair of his shoes. We got a chance to talk so it was pretty fun. Then me and Erin spent 3 or 4 days making t-shirts for like 14 of our guy friends. They all matched, and they were super cute. They had their nick-names on the back. :) They didn't like them too much, but they wore them anyways so that was nice. The varsirty football team started out really great, but they lost like our most important game of the season: the Osseo game. It was so sad. We got demolished. Oh well. The game was pretty fun.

I'LL FINISH LATER :)

The last four days of the summer were probably the best four days of the summer. On Friday all the girls went over to Kelsey's in the morning so we could go to the state fair together. We walked around, ate, and looked at things. Basically all you can do at the fair. We met up with Nick, Blake, Chad, and Timmy later in the day. Then we walked around, ate, and looked at things. It was fun though. Then A Red Letter Day had a show so we basically power walked from one side of the fair to the other side so we wouldn't be late. Turned out that we were early. They started their set, and they sounded really good. They get better everytime they play. I was so tired by the end of the day. On the way home Blake called me and he was really excited about something. He said that they saw Vince Vaughn as they were leaving the fair. I believed him because I don't know why he would make that up. I wish I would have been with them; that would have been so cool, oh god.
The next day I woke up early to go to Chad's because he was having some people up at his cabin again. All the girls went, again, and Chad (obviously), Ethan, Nick, and Blake went, too. I slept most of the way up because I was still tired from being at the fair all day. We hung out on the boat all day really. When we took the boat in for good, we took showers then ate dinner and stuff. Sometime in the evening, I went into the cabin and took everyone's underwear and hung them from the chandelier. It was priceless. :) It definitely was not as hot this weekend as it was last time we went up. That night we hung around the fire and stuff. We went into the cabin to play Apples to Apples. After that we went on the tramp, and we were just sitting all close together in a circle. Eventually we just all started cuddling. We pretty much did that all night. It was pretty late when I finally went to sleep; maybe 2 in the morning? We were all pretty loopy. It was funny. The next day we got up and took the boat out and did that for most of the day again. My horoscope said that today was supposed to be a really, really good day for me, but it was pretty much just an ordinary day. Oh, well. That's what I get for reading my horoscope. The water was so freezing that weekend. I didn't go on the jet ski or hot dog at all. They just don't appeal to me. Overall that was a great weekend to end the summer with. Good times at Chad's cabin. :) I don't think any of the girls were fighting that weekend so that was good.
That weekend my dad and Penny were up visiting my grandma so I got to stay at my mom's house that night. I liked it a lot.
On Labor Day Erin and I got a ton of people to play kickball at Fernbrook just like we did last year. I think at one point we had 24 people there. (Me, Erin, Lauren, Jessica, Chad, Blake, Tommy, Ethan, Karl, Nick, Jeremy, Ryan, David, Alex A., Matt, Shane, Alex O., Adelle, Peter, Eric, Timmy, Greg, and Ian) Camille couldn't play, but she came by to say hi. She's got her liscence now so she drove up in her dad's Chrysler, and she looked so cool. Oh my god. I'm pretty sure it was the first time I saw her all summer, too. I missed her. But before any of this happened, I had to go grocery shopping for the BBQ that I was having afterwards. I was under a bit of a time crunch. The second Erin, Timmy, and David got to my house we left to get food. I sent Timmy and David to go get a kickball, and Erin and I went to Rainbow to get hot dogs, buns, and chips. We quickly biked back to my house to drop off the food, and then we went to Fernbrook. We made good time, but biking fast sucked because it was so hot out that day. We waited for everyone to show up until we picked our teams, then we started our game. Kickball was alright. We took a break in the middle of the game because it was so hot. Me and a group of people biked back to my house to get all the beverages that we could. We filled the cooler with ice and drinks and biked back. We finished our game, and then sat around for a while. Then we started a game of tennis baseball. That game is always a hit. :) Everyone can be good at it because the ball is so small and the racket is so big. After that game we decided that it was definitely time for dinner. So we biked/walked to my house to pick up the food, and then we all went over to the arboretum to BBQ. It was funny and sad at the same time that everyone had to leave at like 7 and 8 o' clock. I sure hope we do the same thing next summer.
So this summer was really great. It ended great. No one was fighting with anyone (that I know of) for the last few days so it was really nice to be spending to much time with all the girls. I'd say July was the best month for me. I can only hope that next summer will be as good as this summer. It's going to have to be better though because most of us will have our liscences! That's really exciting. But I'm kind of sad about it, too, because I don't really want to grow up. Being a kid is great. I don't want to get a job. I want to play at the park and have no worries. Aw, this is sad. I'm crying as I'm typing this. Oh, well. Goodbye summer. :(

8:50 pm
From now on until the end of eternity, the first friday of every August will be Jessica Appreciation Day. This year on Jessica Appreciation Day (or JAD) some people came over to my house, and we basically played played Guitar Hero all day. It was pretty alright. On that video game note, the next day I went over to Erin's, and we played Super Nintendo for most of the afternoon. That night Lauren and I went over to Gus's house and hung out with him, Shane, and Greg. It was nice seeing all of them since I hadn't seen any of them all summer.
So my dad went to Door County for a week with his girlfriend. It was great. :) One day I had a water fight at his house. It was really fun. There were about 12 people there. It started out with just a water balloon war, but then we got tired of the competition I think so we started a water balloon toss. Some time during the water balloon toss, Me, Claire, and Kelsey (and Ethan to videotape us) went inside to make some whipped cream pies. When we came back outside, no one saw it coming. I got Timmy right in the face. Kelsey got Jessica, and Claire got Blake. Everyone smelled like whipped cream afterwards. It was one of my goals for the summer to get someone in the face with a pie, and a water fight just seemed so appropriate. I was really happy that it worked out well.
The next day Me, Erin, Kelsey, and Lauren all went over to this lady's house that Erin baby sits for. She was selling her house and needed to paint all of the wood trim white. It was alright. We got to spend time with each other, and we got paid. :)
Then on the day after that I had another party at my dad's house. It was like a chili-contest/fiesta thing. It was super fun, but it was super hot out. Before the whole chili thing, we had a pinata out in the backyard. We spent a lot of time with that. Everyone got to swing at it. We kind of cheated; we put duck tape all around the pinata so it wouldn't break so easily. It was a good idea though. Then we went inside and had the chili-contest part. Erin won. I believed it was fixed. ;)
Erin's parents planned to go out of town for a night or so that weekend so Erin was gonna have a sleepover. Then her mom decided to stay in town, but we had the sleepover anyways. We went to Walmart to get a ton of food for it. It was a pretty fun day if I remember correctly. We ended up at my dad's house to watch the Vikings pre-season game for a little while. Basically for half of the time, the boys were upstairs watching the game, and the girls were downstairs having a dance party. For good reason though, it was miserable upstairs; it was so hot! Downstairs it was probably 15 degrees cooler. Eventually we decided to leave, so the boys left, and all the girls (except Claire who was celebrating her 1 year anniversary with Kurtis up north) went to Erin's. We ate and played a game and eventually ended up all crammed into Erin's room. We were on the computer and playing video games and just being crazy until maybe 2 or 3 in the morning. Then her mom came downstairs and told us to go to sleep so we went out into the living room, but there was a storm going on so we watched that for a little while. Then I think someone said something about the devil, and we all got scared. So we all got into a little circle, and Kelsey prayed for us. Then after that we all just started talking about some pretty deep stuff that was going on with each of us. Then people started to get tired, and it was just me, Erin, and Lauren. Eventually Erin went to sleep so it was just me and Lauren. I stayed up till 8 o' clock in the morning that night. It was one of the best sleepovers ever.
I had another bon fire at my mom's house. It was a pretty fun one. Impromptu things seem to be some of the more fun things that we do.
All summer I've been really excited for my dad to get a puppy. So when he got back from his trip, we looked in the newspaper for one. We were going to adopt one from RAGOM, but they never got back to us. So we found one, and drove out to Hastings to pick it up. We picked one out and named her Penny Lane. I didn't really think about what getting a puppy would be like. I knew that it would pee and poop everywhere, but I didn't think about how I would have to spend so much time with it. I literally could not leave the house for the last couple weeks of summer. I think I still managed to have a pretty good end of summer though. For the first week or so that I had Penny, I didn't really go anywhere. People just came over here to see Penny. I did get to leave the house once my dad got home from work though. One day I went to Chad's house to finally watch 300 with him and Blake. It was OK. I don't like action movies at all really, but this one was good. Kelsey had the girls over to her house to watch the premiere of High School Musical 2. I thought it was funny. David's mom threw him a surprise birthday. It was pretty fun, too. Margaret cooked up a ton of food, and the cake was shaped like a bass guitar. It was sweet.
The next week was better. One day all the girls came over, and we hung around my dad's house for a while. Then we decided that Chad should have people over so we went over there and watched a scary movie. I saw Peter for basically the first time all summer. Afterwards Lauren, Claire, and Jessica slept over. It was pretty fun. The next day all the girls slept over at Kelsey's house. Orientation was the next morning so we just decided to all go together. This was also a really fun sleepover. We watched Disturbia and stayed up way too late considering the fact that we had to wake up at 6 or 7 the next morning. We all woke up and got ready then we went to sophmore orientation. I liked orientation. The entire class split up into groups, and we pretty much played games and walked around the school for 2 hours. It wouldn't have been fun if you didn't make it fun. I had some alright people in my group so it was OK for me. I want to be a L.I.N.K. crew member. I think it'd be really great.
After orientation I went home and tried to clean up my backyard and basement for the football party that was the next day. I didn't really feel like doing that though so I took a nap. I woke up to a phone call from Jessica seeing if I wanted to go to a movie with her, Ryan, and CB. I didn't know CB too well, but I knew that he was funny and nice. After the movie we hung out at Byerly's (Cool, yeah?), and it was fun. I think I'm kind of an awkward person, but when me and CB were alone, it wasn't awkward or weird or anything at all. I like that boy. That night we were hanging out with Joey, Laura, Adam, and Will, too. I like hanging out with people that I'm not really friends with. It's exciting. :)
The next day was basically spent getting ready for the football game. I had to bike to Walmart with Erin to get food, and Claire was an angel and bought pop for me. We got back and started making Crimson t-shirts. Lauren came over, and eventually Claire, Kelsey, Ethan, and Gus came, too. We spent most of the time before the game making shirts and sitting around. It was fun. :) Our shirts turned out really cool. I asked Chad what his football number was so we could put it on the back of Lauren's shirt, but he gave us the wrong number so we put 68 on her shirt. His actual number is 76 or something. It was a shame, too, because Lauren's shirt was really cute. We met all the football guys at the stadium. I didn't think there were that many kids at the game. Well, I expected there to be more. The game went into double overtime, and we won. It was really intense, no lies.
So I was kind of a vegetarian for most of August. There were days that I would eat meat, like for the chilli cook off, and for David's birthday I had a steak. Overall I thought it was really hard to be a vegetarian. Because my dad does the grocery shopping, there wasn't much for me to eat while I was at his house. I'm glad I did it, but I don't think it's for me. I know I'm not going to be eating as much meat as before though.
The last couple weeks of summer were pretty slow because the boys were at football. I missed them, and, as much as I love football season, I'm excited for it to be over. Then I'll get to hang out with them more, and they won't be able to talk about football all the time. :)
So August was pretty good. I'm going to save the last 4 days of summer for another journal entry because they were the best. They might even get their own entry?!
After reading through this, I realized that I saw "pretty fun" and "really fun" a lot. It's annoying to me, but I guess it's good because that means that I had fun. Fun is good.

5:12 pm - July
I'm starting to think that I'm going about these journal entries the wrong way. I feel like I need to be more honest, and I think I need to be more descriptive in what I've done in the past month. I'll try.
In May I lost my camera. The only place it could have possibly been would be my dad's basement, but I tore that room up and still couldn't find it. It had to have been stolen by one of my friends which kind of makes me sick to my stomach to think about. Well I bought a new camera with my own money. It was used and $180. I'm so poor now.
For the Fourth of July, I went to watch fireworks at White Bear Lake with Erin, Lauren, Claire, and Chad because my dad's band was playing there. It was really fun, and next year I want to bring more kids and go swimming, too.
All the girls (Lauren, Claire, Erin, Kelsey, Jessica, and Me) and Blake, Ethan, and Chad all went up to Chad's cabin for a weekend. We took the boat out pretty quick after we got there to go swimming. Most everyone went jet skiing and tubing, but I didn't because I was only just becoming comfortable with swimming in the lake at all. We spent the whole day out on the lake, and I didn't realize how incredibly hot it was until we were out of the water and ready to eat and stuff. Even with the sun down it was unbearable. Well, we all sat around the fire, and eventually Chad's parents went to bed in their cabin. It was a lot of fun hanging out really late with all the girls and the boys. The girls slept in the cabin, and the boys slept in a tent. Of course there was sneaking over to scare each other and such. I slept horribly that night because it was so hot. We got a wake up call from the boys with a mini-bike early in the morning. We took the boat out again that day, and then when we went in for lunch it started to get a little stormy so we packed up early. It was a super fun weekend, and it was officially the first boy-girl sleepover even if we did sleep in seperate places.
Tommy, Erin, and I started working on our boat for the Maple Grove Days Keep A Boat Afloat Contest. Our theme was going to be Crimson Football. We were making this huge boat to look like the Crimson stadium made out of styrofoam, and it was going to be a great boat. Well we were working on the boat all day, and I guess we decided that spending all day together wasn't enough; we needed to spend the night together, too. So Erin sleptover at my house, and Timmy slept over at Tommy's. They snuck over to my house, and we hung out from like 1-4 in the morning. The boys got caught by Tommy's mom. She called all of our mom's, and told them what happened. They all got grounded for about a week, but my mom didn't really care. So obviously we couldn't work on our boat anymore. It kind of really sucked, but we were dumb. So now we're storing what we had done of the boat until next year.
I went to a bonfire with Jessica and her boyfriend and a couple of his friends. It was fun getting to know Ryan, and his friends are really funny so I hope I get to hang out with them some more. I do think that Jessica and Ryan are spending a lot of time together, though. She's almost becoming the couple that she used to always complain about; you know, the couple that's always together. Oh, well.
Maple Grove Days was pretty low key for me this year. I saw a couple people from school that I like, and spent most of the day with Lauren and Kelsey. It was fun. I went to the Keep A Boat Afloat contest just to see the boats, and the winners from like the past 6 years won again. They used the same boat as they did the year before, too. It was kind of irritating mostly because it's a group of 50+ people and one kid.
I got my permit! I was really scared to drive, but once I got in the driver's seat and got a feel for the car, it wasn't so bad. I actually love to drive now. I don't know, I just kind of feel good when I'm behind the wheel. It's weird, but I love it.
The seventh and last Harry Potter book came out. I went to the midnight party with Jenna. I kind of went on a Harry Potter reading frenzy beforehand. It was fun, a good experience. I like doing things like that because I kind of feel like I was there for a little part of history. Just a little bit.
One day my dad, Greg's dad, and Tommy's dad took their boats out to Medicine lake and brought a bunch of kids along. It was really the first time I ever brought any friends on my boat. I haven't before because I just never used to like swimming in lakes and doing water sports, but now I really like it. My boat was mainly used for tubing; most of the time we double tubed. It was a really fun day, and I'm glad I went this year.
I went on another camping trip, too. With boys this time! :o All who went was Claire, Lauren, Jessica, Blake, Tommy, and Me and my mom, Tommy's mom, and Claire's mom. We went to Moose Lake City Campground. It was right in town, and there were absolutely no trees. The sites were small and there was a school right behind us, but it was charming. It was mostly an RV park, but it was right on the lake which was very nice. We set up all of our tents, and we could have probably fit Tommy's tiny tent inside of our tent and still have slept comfortbaly. It was funny. There was a nice beach and a raft out in the lake. The first night everyone except the moms and I went swimming in the dark. I was definitely not going to go into a strange lake in the dark. It looked terrifying and dangerous. We did a lot of swimming that weekend. I stayed up late both nights just hanging around the fire. I had some of the best times there that I've had all summer. I liked hanging out with the moms, too. I like going on trips with boys. It makes things a little more interesting.
I spent a lot of time with Lauren which is good because I love her. One thing that I love to do most is going over to someone's house and hanging out with a smallish group of people for the whole day. I did that a lot in July, I think, and I enjoyed doing it with Lauren. I like talking to her, and not feeling the need to be out doing something and spending money. I also spent a lot of time with Tommy in July which is good because I feel like I barely saw him in June. At one point I hung out with Tommy everyday for a week. I feel very comfortble around Tommy, and I love spending time with him. Whenever I think about summer, I think about Tommy because I spent most of last summer with Tommy, too, and that was probably the best summer of my life.
So I consider Peter one of my best friends, but I really haven't seen him at all this summer! I saw him once when I went to see Transformers with my dad, and he was waiting in line to see the midnight showing of Harry Potter with some people. I barely even talked to him then. I miss him to death! I haven't seen Gus at all either! Summer is really great because you get to spend a lot more time with some peole, but then summer is a little bad because there are people that you love that you really never see at all.
I've started to convert to vegetarianism. My mom is doing it with me, too. I'm not doing it because I don't believe in slaughtering animals or anything; I just want to try it out. I'm into trying and experiencing new things and looking into other ways of life. I guess it's kind of a health thing, and maybe even a little bit because I don't want to hurt animals. I just feel kind of bad when I eat anything that came from a mammal because I'm kind of connected to them in a way. But I don't really care about that. I'm still fine with anyone else eating them. Being a vegetarian is kind of hard, and it doesn't taste very good, either. My choices in what to eat are very limited it seems. And all the fake meat stuff and most vegetables are gross. Oh well, I'll probably be back to my meat eating ways by the time school starts.
I've become more confident and more courageous this summer. I'm more comfortable with who I am, and I'm happier. I'm also less scared of things that I used to be afraid of. Like I was really scared to drive until I finally did. And I'm more comfortable swimming in lakes and things like that than I've ever been. I like it. :-)
July was a great month for me. I've hung out with a few more people than usual, and I've had a lot of fun. I hope August ends summer in a great way for me.

3:58 pm - June
June 2007

So school is over, and summer is here. Summer’s starting out really slow for me, but I really hope that changes soon. I’m doing too much sitting at home and not enough hanging out with friends.
The last week of school was really exciting. There was a party for all the 9th graders, and that was pretty fun. I did my Romeo and Juliet scene with Tommy, Tom, and Alex. Tommy was Romeo, and Tom was Juliet. It was hilarious. ☺ I threw a BBQ before school was out, but it thunder-stormed and stuff so that kind of put a damper on things. It was fun while it lasted though.
The last day of school was pretty much the most fun I’ve had in a long time. My finals went really well (I got a 4.0 GPA again this trimester!), and after school let out a bunch of kids walked over to Perkins for lunch. After that, all of the girls and Timmy went over to my house to chill out and get ready before Tommy’s party. When we went over to Tommy’s, his band, which is now called A Red Letter Day, started playing. They played in the garage, and it was raining while they were playing. I had a lot of fun jumping around and head banging while they played. My neck hurt for like two days afterwards. There were a lot of kids there. There were the kids that we usually hang out with and friends of friends, and then there was Tommy’s girlfriends whole group of friends. The whole party was pretty segregated that night. All those girls mostly hung out in the front yard, and everyone else hung out in the backyard. It was kind of weird when the band was playing because Tommy’s girlfriend wasn’t even watching them. It was a really fun night, though. Afterwards my girls and I walked to Super America then to my dad’s house for a sleepover.
Driver’s Ed was the worst two weeks of my life. I went to Training Wheels, and it sucked. We had homework and stuff, and we had to wake up super early on a Saturday to go a seminar thing about people who drink and drive. Driver’s Ed pretty much put a damper on everything. The only good thing about it was that I got to see a bunch of my friends everyday, not that I got to sit by any of them or anything. I did pass my permit test, but I’m to scared to drive…
I went camping with Claire, Lauren, Jessica, and Kelsey. My mom and Jessica’s mom went too. We went to Savannah Portage State Park. There wasn’t much to do at all, but the swimming lake was really nice. Jessica, Claire, and I went exploring, and we watched a couple snapping turtles swimming around for like an hour. It was fun. ☺
John, Lillian, and Alex came up for a weekend so I spent some time with them. Lillian is pregnant, and I think the baby’s due this winter. I’m excited!
So I’ve gotten really close to Jessica. I mean, I was already close to her, but now I’m even closer. She’s my best friend. I’ve spent so much time with her this summer already, and I love it. Without her my summer would be more boring than it already is. I miss Tommy. I’ve barely seen him all month.
OK so Dad’s been seeing this lady Dawn. She’s always around, and it actually kind of bugs me. I don’t think I have a problem with her though. She just talks a lot about things that I don’t care about (like her cats), and Dad is really weird when she’s around.
Dad and I are trying to adopt a dog now. We’re doing it through RAGOM (Retrieve A Golden Of Minnesota). We’ve got our eye on a 3-year-old male named Kirby, but if that doesn’t work out then I want a little newborn puppy. We’ll see.
One last thing, I’ve taken a real liking to the Discovery Channel this summer. That’s all I do all day; I watch the Discovery Channel. Yeah…summer’s been good to me?
In the news: Paris Hilton went to jail. Then she was released. Then she went back. And she was released again.
Overall rating of June: 6.5

8:43 pm - May 2007
May 2007

A lot of good things happened in May. All the excitement of school being almost over and summer coming makes everything better.
On the first Friday of the month, Spiderman 3 came out, and a bunch of my friends and I went to see it at the midnight showing. A couple days before it, I had some people over to watch Spiderman 1 and 2. We had 16 kids as a group. We ate at B-Dubs then walked over to the move theater. It felt cool being out so late. ☺
Then the weekend after that was 9th grade formal. It was so much fun. Getting ready at Jessica’s was a good time. My dress was a little uncomfortable, but it was fun getting dressed up and seeing everyone all fancy. We had 30 kids for pictures at Erin’s house, then we migrated to Champp’s for dinner. Then after the dance Kelsey had an after party, which was also a lot of fun because we stayed out late again.
There’s been a lot of sleepovers this month, too, and I like it. 6 sleepovers in 4 weekends. They haven’t all been with all of the girls, but that’s okay because then we get more face time with each other. Sleepovers are a lot of fun. We honestly don’t do anything but talk at sleepovers; it’s amazing we still have things to stay. One sleepover all of us girls just laid on Kelsey’s trampoline for a couple hours under a bunch of blankets just talking. That was definitely one for the books.
Claire and her brother and sister are into dirt bikes, and there’s this track in Corcoran where they race on Fridays. It’s a lot of fun to watch, and just hang out.
One day I had people over at my house, and we decided to walk to Claire’s house. It seemed like it would be a long walk, but I don’t think it really was. Maybe it seemed shorter because there were a lot of fun people to walk with. We climbed on giant dirt piles in the construction areas, and I definitely want to do that again this summer.
I have a few big projects in school now. It’s like the teachers got together and decided to all do projects at the same exact time. There was the Rube Goldberg project where I had to make a maze for a marble (or in my case a golf ball) to go through and eventually knock over an action figure. I knew about it for like 3 or so weeks, and I did it with my dad in the 3 days before it was due. It was dumb. Then I had to make a poster about the 1920s, and I did that all the day before it was due. It turned out really nice though. And now I have to memorize a bunch of lines from Romeo and Juliet to do a play. Ugh.
One more week left of school. It’s so sad, and I’m going to miss it. But summer is going to be amazing, and high school will be exciting.
Okay so that’s May.
In the news: No idea…

April 2007

I’m not religious or anything, but I’ve really taking a liking to the sign that’s outside of the Maple Grove Assembly of God Church. I’m starting to take pictures of all the quotes that they put out there, and I’m going to try to make like a video of them all together after a while.
At the beginning of April, I went to New York City for spring break. I went with the school group; Kelsey and Jessica went too. Going on vacations with your friends is much more fun than going on vacation with just your family. We spent three nights, four days there. We saw two Broadway plays: Mama Mia and Stomp. My favorite thing that we did was toured the NBC studio because I thoroughly enjoy television. I got really annoyed with our tour guide because I think he made us do a lot of unnecessary walking. By the fourth day I was really annoyed and tired, and I didn’t enjoy that day very much. It was a very tiring trip; we wouldn’t get to the hotel until midnight then we had to wake up at 6 in the morning. I think I slept for 16 hours straight when I got home.
I asked to borrow Brian’s video camera one night, and I’ve had a lot of fun with it. At a sleepover we made a video about sexual harassment, one day we made a Jackass video, and I made a music video to “Tipsy” with Kelsey and Jessica. They’re so funny, but I’m having a hard time getting them onto the computer to share them with the world so that’s a shame.
This kid in my class, Ben Vonadda (Or, as I like to call him, Ben Vagina), moved away. I was close to him or anything, but he was a good, funny kid, and I’ll miss him.
I’m so excited for summer. It’s so nice out now, and I’ve been playing outside with my friends. The weekends feel just like summer. I love biking around town; it’s like my favorite thing to do outside. As excited as I am for summer, I don’t really want junior high to end. It’s not that I think Osseo Junior is that great of a school, but I’m just comfortable there. It’s nice to be at the top of the school too. ☺ When we go to high school, we’re going to be at the bottom of the food chain again.
I finally got my Playstation. It’s nice to have it back.
I set up a fire pit in my Mom’s backyard so one night I had people over for a fire. It was fun.
And then of course my birthday was this month! I got a phone from Dad, and a Chi straightener and tanning sessions from my mom. It was a good birthday.
So I guess that’s it for April, nothing too interesting.
In the news: There was a shooting at Virginia Tech. I think something like 30 people died which is the deadliest school shooting ever.

9:20 pm - MARCH
March 2007

Oh, March. ☺ I feel like I have to write something insightful in the first part of my journal. I don’t really have anything insightful to write. Well, the Maple Grove Assembly of God on Country Road 30 has a sign outside their building, and one week it said, “Worry is the misuse of imagination.” I really think it is one of the greatest quotes ever. It’ll probably stick with me for the rest of my life. I love the sign outside that church.
Let’s start out with the weather. It’s been crazy. At the very beginning of the month, we got LOTS of snow. We even had a snow day! Then a couple weeks after the snow, it got really warm and the 2-3 ft of snow that we had basically all melted. Lately, it’s been on the chilly side.
The snow day was so much fun. I was over at Tommy’s, and then we went to the park with a bunch of people for a snowball fight. We were walking through the 3 feet of snow and my goodness it was hard! The snowball fight didn’t end up happening so we just went to my dad’s house and had a little party. My dad was away on business, and I had like 18 people over; I’m cool. That night Brian had a party, and my Playstation 2 got stolen. He had to buy me a new one. Sucker. The day after the snow day I went tubing with some kids. It was a lot of fun. It was this place by Forest Lake that Tommy’s mom had heard about. It was called Eko Backen, and it was just a totally unsupervised tubing hill.
I’ve gone to see lots of movies this month: Stomp the Yard, Music and Lyrics, and Reign Over Me. Reign Over Me is a really good movie. Now when I’m 30-years-old and reading this, I’ll remember it and go rent it.
I had a board game day. I LOVE BOARD GAMES! Life is definitely my favorite.
The new trimester started. Last tri I got a 4.0 GPA. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten that before. All of my classes are amazing now. It’s a great way to end junior high. That last statement was happy and sad at the same time. In Perzel’s social studies class I was voted class president. It’s awesome. It’s funny because Mr. Perzel didn’t let the girls vote, but I still won. He didn’t expect me to. ☺ Since the snow melted, we started playing street hockey. I like boot hockey more. Maybe I’m just really bad at street hockey, or maybe people are just meaner when they play street hockey, but I don’t enjoy it quite as much.
One night I had people over. Tommy was having a bon fire, and since he lived in my neighborhood and we were bored, we decided to crash it. We threw makeshift water balloons at them. It was hilarious, and its nights like those that get me really excited for summer. Right now I am REALLY excited for summer, and I’m totally ready for school to be over.
I was a little interested in marching band so I went to a meeting about it. I went to a practice, and I decided that it wasn’t for me. I hope I don’t regret this decision, but I have to live in the now…I think.
In science we made boats out of cardboard for us to get in and race around the pool. My team was David, Greg, Camille, Nick, and me. It was a lot of fun. We got first place in our class for fastest time. I want to do stuff like that this summer; that’d be sweet if we made boats and raced around in someone’s pool. ☺
In the news: I have no idea. If it were really that important, I’m sure I would remember.
Current obsession: Let’s just say I have an addictive personality.

February 2007

This is good; I’m actually writing my journal continually. I’ve heard that you have to do something 26 times in a row to form a habit so does that mean that it’s going to take 26 months for this to become a habit?
At the beginning of February I flew down to Arizona with my dad and Brian. I went to the FBR Open, and it was really boring. I understand why you would want to play golf, but why would you want to watch it? I got to hang out with Amanda Helems, but Amber had to work. I spent some time with Laura Swift. I didn’t get to see Kayla Schern though, and I was really sad about that. The Super Bowl was the same weekend that I was in Arizona. I was routing for the Bears, but they lost...
The girls got together for a sleepover. It was lots of fun. ☺ Camille came, too. I’m going to hate it when we have to go to different schools.
Dad is basically on a long business trip. He goes to Illinois for a week or two then he comes back for a few days. It’s all right with me because I don’t have to feel guilty for not being with him a lot.
Osseo Junior High has gotten so strict. You can get suspended or detention for anything. The teachers are walking us to lunch because kids are running. Kids are only running because they actually want to have time to eat their lunch. Once they stop walking us to lunch, kids are just going to start running again. There are a lot more solutions than walking us, I think.
I’ve been taking a lot of “sick days” lately. I generally take school off to get things done, like cleaning my room and doing laundry. I don’t do them on the weekend because I’m busy doing other things. It’s a good system for me. I’ve got good grades, and a couple days off here and there don’t hurt me. I haven’t gone to school 5 times a week in a long time.
So we’re still doing boot hockey when we can. One day is was really warm out so I went biking with Erin through all the new roads by the Super Target and hospital that they’re building. It was cool. The Target is so close to the elementary school. I wonder when they’re going to open up those roads. Tommy, Alex, and Dave’s band Just For Now played in Battle of the Bands. I thought they did really well, but the other bands have been playing for a lot longer. Their time will come. It snowed a lot towards the end of the month. There was probably a foot of snow. I went over to Tommy’s the night it snowed, and he drove me home on his snowmobile. The day after it snowed a bunch of us went sledding. I think we spent more time playing on the big piles than actually sledding.
I’ve been watching a lot of TV lately. It’s pathetic that I’m mentioning that in this journal, but it’s a big part of my life right now. If I’m not watching something from my Tivo, I’m watching shows on DVD.
I’ve been feeling pretty disgusted with myself. I’m just so sick of being overweight. I barely ever wear a girl shirt. I’m always wearing sweatshirts because they’re the only thing that I feel comfortable in. I’ve been trying to watch what I’m eating, and I’m trying to work out. It’s hard during the winter because it’s cold outside, and I just want to sit inside and eat. It kills me to see skinny, beautiful girls talking about how fat they are. This is really the first time that I’ve had a big problem with my self-image. I don’t like it.
In the news: Indianapolis Colts won the 41st Super Bowl. Wow, I’m not good at this part.
Current obsessions: MySpace, TV, Orbit gum, caffeine, people
Overall rating of February: 6.5-7

6:51 pm - JANUARY
January

So I guess the more traditional version of journal writing would be to do it everyday, or at least once a week, but for me the best way to do it is once a month. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to keep a journal. At first I meant to keep a daily journal, but I just never got to it. I had lots of New Year’s resolutions. They might not be typical ones like lose five pounds a month (Now I would LOVE to lose five pounds a month, but unfortunately I only picked resolutions that I thought I could keep. Aw.), but I was satisfied with them. I wrote them down and here’s what I came up with:
• Keep my room clean. (This isn’t working out too well, but I’m trying.)
• Use Proactiv regularly. (Going good, sometimes I forget because I just want to get to bed. I’m not seeing any dramatic results, but then again I didn’t have dramatic acne.)
• Keep a journal. (I believe we already discussed this one.)
• Don’t forget birthdays. (Now, I’m really proud of myself for this one. This month Shanna, Ian, Greg, and Ethan have had a birthday, and I have made some sort of baked good for them.)
• Shave legs more often. (It’s not happening as often as I meant it to, but I’ve shaved more this month than I have for maybe the past four months.)
• Cook more. (I just don’t have the motivation to do so.)
• Work out more. (I’ve been doing curl ups almost every night, and I’m working with free weights. I’ve gone to the gym with my dad, and I hope to keep that up. Working out isn’t so much for me to lose weight; I just don’t want people to think I’m a fat, lazy American.)
• Take pictures. (YEAH! These are the best years of my life, and I don’t want to forget them.)

I hung out with Tommy and Erin. They’re my best buds. I really hope we stay good friends forever.
My phone broke early in the month. I didn’t know how dependant I was to my phone until I didn’t have it anymore. I went a week until I got a new one. Damn you, Verizon Wireless!
I had to go to a counseling program for my parent’s divorce. They said that is was “required by the state” for us to take it. It was honestly the biggest waste of time ever. Everything that they talked about I had already heard from 7th grade health class. Things like, “All of these feelings that you are experiencing are okay,” and “It’s never the kid’s fault for the divorce.” It was totally unnecessary.
My friends and I have started a new tradition. Every Thursday we go to Kerber Park and play boot hockey. It’s really a lot of fun, and that’s coming from someone that is very uncoordinated. I hope we keep the tradition going. Of course it’s only a winter tradition. Ice tends to melt when it gets warmer out.
Hanging out is really fun, one of my favorite things to do on the weekends. I love that my friends and I can do things totally weird, and have so much fun. We color and play with Play Dough. I also love playing Guitar Hero. I could play that game for hours on hours. And of course there are always movies to watch. Lately, we’ve been going out to eat. Not like McDonald’s, but sit down places like Olive Garden and Champp’s. I’m probably going to be broke soon.
We didn’t have a big sleepover with all the girls (Jessica, Lauren, Claire, Kelsey, Erin, and me) in January because in December we had something like four sleepovers in three weeks, and they were starting to get really boring. We decided that we should probably wait a while until we had another one. Now we’re all really excited for the next one! I’ve been having one-on-one sleepovers with some of the girls this month. I had one with Erin, and one with Claire. They were enjoyable, and I think I may do smaller sleepovers in addition to the big group sleepovers from now on.
I haven’t had a good sleeping schedule at all this year. On the weekends I don’t go to sleep until two in the morning, and I don’t wake up until noon. Then when Sunday night comes, I can’t get to sleep until late which creates a whole messed up system.
I bought some Uggs and skinny jeans so now I am up to date with the trends. ☺
In the news: Saddam Hussein was put to death. I don't really know of anything else, actually.
Current obsessions: MySpace, top eights, Guitar Hero, smoothies, Diet Lipton Green Tea with citrus, Orbit gum, TV, Mae, Backseat Goodbye
Overall rating of January: 8

so today i went to kohls, and i was in the dressing room tryin' on a bunch of stuff. it wasn't very busy, and there was no one else in a dressing room. so i'm trying on some shirts, and all of the sudden the lights turn off. i had a panic attack for about 2 seconds, and then i start thinking of what might be happening. first i think that there's a killer, and he turned the lights out and he's going to come slice me up. so i try to be really quiet, but then i'm like, wow that's ridiculous. so i have to take off the shirt that i'm trying on and look for my shirt in the dark. then i think that maybe the store was closing and i didn't know it. so i grab my jacket and just BOLT out of there. then right as i get through the doorway the lights turn back on and i'm like oooh my god you have to be kidding me.
so i was scared and i was going to blame it on the fact that i sometimes watch scary movies and maybe i should stop. but then i thought that if i stopped watching movies i would still have the same thoughts in my mind from like, regular society. because there are killers out there, and there are sick people. so good, i can continue watching the few scary movies that i do watch.

1:19 am - SUNDAY
so erin came over tonight and we were listening to cute. we started talking about the lyrics and stuff. one lyric in particular; "it's so hard when you're shallow as a shower." so now in my head, just that one bit from the song is repeating over and over in my head and it's driving me insane!!
at the beginning of this livejournal it almost seemed like it would actually be deep and meaningful, but i guess it changed courses didn't it

does this ever happen to you?: you're goin' along with life, and then suddenly you do something that you shouldn't. and as you're doing it, you're thinking, 'oh my gosh why am i doing this?' but you can't stop yourself. like, while it's happening everything just goes in slow motion but you can't stop yourself from doing the thing that you shouldn't be. yeah, does that ever happened to you?
because it just happened to me. i accientally closed the window with half of my livejournal typed out and then i click the 'x' and i see myself doing it, and i'm going all slow, but i just can't stop! yeah. that part of my livejournal was almost deep and meaningful too.

today was fun, but it kind of went by in a haze. jess came over and we played video games for a bit, but then we got bored with my games so we called basically every guy that we thought would have a ps2, but no one could come over. so we walked to gus's and played guitar hero with him and his sister for about 2 hours (yeah, we were just using him) then we went over to kelsey's. we colored and watched the office on dvd. we barely spoke, but it was okay :]. then we went to see 'the holiday.' it was good. i need to go shopping to get a multitap and guitar hero for my ps2. jaslfksjdh I LOVE GUITAR HERO!

my mom and my bro were talking about this in the car so then i started thinking about. my mom brought up something about a rabbi suing an airport for having christmas trees up. i think that's totally ridiculous. i don't like how you're now urged to say 'happy holidays' instead of 'merry christmas' because it's politically correct. i mean, it's a nice gesture so say 'merry christmas' even if the person you're saying it to doesn't celebrate it. i doubt they get offended if you wish them a merry christmas. if someone wished you a happy hannukah, would you be offended? i'm not trying to be all 'oh, christmas is the only holiday people should celebrate. it's the best' but let's face it, the majority of the US population celebrates christmas. americans have their freedom of religion, so i think that suing a company for having christmas trees out is almost, i dunno the word, unconstitutional. it's just not right. kbye.
